Please join us tonight as we meet up with Michael Greene and Charles Joy from the Microsoft Enterprise & Cloud Group CAT team and authors on the Building Clouds Blog.
What is a CAT team?
CAT teams are responsible for driving customer feedback in to engineering at Microsoft and take on special projects to help accelerate deployment of Microsoft products. The ECG CAT team focuses on Windows Server and System Center. CAT stands for Customer Acceleration Team or Customer Advisory Team. There are multiple CAT teams at Microsoft including Office, Azure, and SQL. In the past we have had other CAT team members including Rob Willis and Jim Britt.
In addition to working with customers on the Windows Server TAP program, Michael and Charles work closely with the PowerShell team on a number of projects. Michael has made several contributions to the DSC Resource Kit and authored the JEA whitepaper. Charles frequently publishes runbook examples for SMA and authored the Tenant Provisioning whitepaper. Recently they co-presented at TechEd Europe on Automated Workload Provisioning on the CPS platform and Leveraging SMA and JEA for Service Provider Operations. They will also be joining us as presenters at PowerShell Summit North America 2015.
