Would it be possible to implement a messaging system between users? I am working on fixing a problem with a user in one of my threads and would like to exchange personal contact information. However, the only option would be to put all my info in the thread which isn't something I want to be doing.

Thoughts?

Hey there Marc,

It's not out of the realm of possibility. I'll have to take a look at some of the plugins for our forum and evaluate them. There's also a potential risk to spam bots filling up the message queues, so I'll need to see what can be done to ensure that. Thanks for bringing this up.

Excellent.

Thanks for looking into it.

You mean using PowerShell???
Email, text, chat services already do this.
Why would you want to try an reinvent the wheel using PoSH.
You are going to have to exchange something to get a connection to the user.
What's wrong with using the built-in msg.exe, or Remote connection invite?

All that being said, here are examples already in place using PoSH.

https://poshchat.codeplex.com – well this one is a bit dated, but could give you something to work with / use / improve.

Why not just use email, vis MS Azure RMS between you and you needed contacts.
