    Hello,

Hi I would like use dsc to compare one server against another

DSC is not a tool to compare between servers, it is a configuration management platform. It requires an expected state for a node. The states will be for different areas of that node, say state of a service, feature, file etc.

I would recommend you to read through the documents of DSC and understand where and when to use it. If you already know PowerShell , using DSC is not a heavy task. We will be here to help you for any queries with you script.
