    Hi guys,
New to the forum, hope to make this place home!
I'm a newbie when it comes to powershell (just a heads up!), but sometimes when I run a command and it looks great on the powershell cmd line, I want to export the data so I add

    | Export-cvs C]

Don't export from your Format-* command. Format-* commands are designed to be at the very end of a pipeline. Instead select the properties you want with Select-Object and then export with Export-Csv.

e.g. If your command is this:
    Get-Service | Format-Table Name,Status
    Then export it like this:
    Get-Service | Select-Object -Property Name,Status | Export-Csv C]
