I have not been paying attention much to news and new stuff in the windows/PowerShell world for the last year.  I noticed Winget Package Manager is out there from MS now.  PowerShell has had PackageManagement for several years.  Has anyone compared them yet?  I am curious of the pros/cons of the two.  I like chocolatey but right now just looking at the two MS solutions.

      Thank you

didn’t do any comparison. But winget is something MSFT is looking forward to and eventually going to be the best packagemanager for windows. But for PowerShell PowerShellGet is what in focus and best.

Is winget why powershell 7 doesn’t support msi’s and programs with get-package?
