    Hi Kudz,

This has got to be one of the most popular questions we see here on PowerShell.org so you'll get a fair few details answers. If you wanted to get started at your own pace with PowerShell I can recommend taking a look into 'Learn Windows PowerShell in a month of lunches' by non other than Don Jones himself.

    http://www.amazon.com/Learn-Windows-PowerShell-Month-Lunches/dp/1617291080

After that I would move onto the MVA (Microsoft Virtual Academy) courses with Jeffrey Snover and Jason Helmick.

    https://mva.microsoft.com/en-us/training-courses/getting-started-with-powershell-3-0-jump-start-8276.

The combination of humor and a focus on the basics aimed at new comers will allow you to get to know PowerShell and will have you automating basic tasks in no time.
