I can create an Smb Share and remove it but when a different user performs the same operation, on the remove operation they share is removed but they also experience the following error message:
“Attempting to perform the InitializeDefaultDrives operation on the ‘FireSystem’ provider failed.”
The command syntax is: Remove-SmbShare -Name ShareName -Force
the curious aspect of this is that the share appears to have been removed. What is the best way to diagnosis this issue?
This operation is performed on a Win2021 R2 server using PowerShell 4.0. The user in question probably has more privileges that I do in this environment. Could this be related to Culture or PS Profiles?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
