I can't seem to figure out where I can find the msdeploy.exe in IIS7/IIS8. I believed IIS7/IIS8 comes with msdeply but I am not sure where it supposed to be. Does it need to be configured? If yes, then how? Does it need to be installed?

The boxes that I am looking at are windows 2008 and 2012 servers.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So, we generally focus on windows PowerShell here, but happy to see if someone can help out.

I'm pretty sure it's not included by default. If Web Deploy is installed, you'll find it in a folder under C:\Program Files\IIS. If it isn't, I recommend installing it through WPI (Web Platform Installer)
