    Hi Sam,

    thanks for your help,

I have several scripts to perform the offboarding process
1 that runs directly on AD on Premises, does the actual disabling account along with several other things
    2. moving over to AZure Ad and remove all the groups a user is member of. this can only be done when the 30 min have passed
at this very moment it says last time synced is 4 min ago.
this means that the script under point 2 needs to wait at least 26 min before I can execute that script once executed this piece of code needs to stop checking till the next time it’s being used

what do I need to do in order to get it working like this?

    Hi Rob,

yes I’ve seen these and unless I really have to I will go that road I would have liked to have just a simple way of changing this without having the users to go through that hassle.
on top of this it’s one of the features in my script that would be nice to be implemented but not a must

    thanks Doug,
the goal is to create a check.ps where all these things are checked and once a module is installed I don’t require to change the current settings

    another question
I’m preparing a script that is going to be shared with a couple of users.
and they need to have to install the required modules as well.
is there a way to test what the current security protocol state is?
this way I can integrate this in my checks that if current security protocol is not equal to
    [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol -bor [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12
    to run this?

    Olaf,
I know that for the Office365 the user is put in a security group in AD to be able to use office when I look up the same user in AzureAD then I see this info if this is usefull to you

    Communications Credits
    Active
    1/1
    Inherited (Office365License-Users)
    Enterprise Mobility + Security E5
    Active
    9/9
    Inherited (Office365License-Users)
    Office 365 E5
    Active
    36/39
    Inherited (Office365License-Users)

or do I need to remove the licenses directly from azureAD?

    Update:

removing the license from on Prem AD sorted this out

I now face the following issue that when I want to update the SamAccountName with the New SamAccountName
    in this example it works

error that I now get is

How can I make sure that the $user.SamaccountName is populated with “Paulus” instead of the value found in the CSV file?
Do I need to update the CSV file first or is there a different way other then what I tried above?

the name of the file changes each time you run it. if I understand you correctly if you run the file today the filename would be out_29-04-20.txt
