I could see if the server doesn’t’ have Internet access, then it would be an issue, but most places I have worked are not that strict to not allow there servers to access the Internet at all.

Yes, the answer is to create a service principle account in Azure AD.

The command above is one way to do that, you can also google how to do it in PowerShell.

Or you can do it through the portal.

I would use the fqdn, or try the IP?

You may need to add a password:

    "Azure\AUSERNAME " /pass:"APASSWORD`""[/crayon]

Your question says, “Is there a way to not disable MFA on the admin account or to not disable MFA on a service account. I think you were trying to ask is there a way to create a service account that MFA would not be needed. The answer to that question is:

You have to capture the output of this command to because it is the only time you will see the secret.

Let me know if this helps.

I guess the DSC forum is not a very active forum? Is there someplace that DSC in azure is better represented by the community of users?

We are talking specifically about Azure Point to Site VPN, it is a product provided by Azure. So I am looking for someone who knows how this is supposed to work. I have complete control over the environment. The way it works is once you have configured your different networks and configured peering between the networks, then you download a vpn client from the Network Gateway that enables you to connect and puts a dll on your workstation that configures all the routing tables so you can access everything via IP. I have added DNS Private Zones, which is new to Azure. Each zone has links to the other zones so they can resolve FQDN’s from each serer to each network. I want to know if it is supposed to work over the VPN? If, so, how do I make it work. I have coded out standing up all of this with PowerShell. But yes, it is an Azure question. I see one article out there where it says you have to download the vpn client after the DNS configuration, I have done that with no effect.

Yeah, I was thinking I could get away with an exact match if the match had single quotes. But remembering that it is a regex, reminds me that is silly. Thanks!

It turns out that if other networks are linked to this network, this error occurred. When I took that link away, it works fine.

I made sure I had the latest update of this module and restarted the ISE, and it worked fine.

    I found this, here:
    C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\Az.KeyVault\1.1.0\Microsoft.Azure.PowerShell.Cmdlets.KeyVault.deps.json

    And this:
    Gci “C:\Program Files\PackageManagement\ProviderAssemblies\nuget\2.8.5.208”
