Chatroom Buzz
[21:43:06] I love my PFE’s
[21:44:21] “PFEs = ninjas jumping out of helicoptors” <- there’s really no other way to describe them
[21:46:24] ##Do you think the ADRAP tool should be released to the general public?
[21:46:48] Our PFE just did a talk on Powershell to our Wintel group. My manager liked some of the reports I got for him using powershell so he is giving us a chance to train others for the next 10 weeks
[21:47:10] you don’t jump out of helicopters, you repel (Air Assault). You jump out of airplanes (Airborne).
[21:51:04] “backup? Umm, yeah, we should be doing those.”
[21:51:34] the worst thing ADRAPs see: DC’s that haven’t had a security patch since deployment
[21:53:19] http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/home/features/identity/
[22:02:47] ##who was the guy who wrote that insane powershell script with forms in the ADRAP? dude’s a true Jedi
[22:05:54] Here’s a quote from one of his blogs: “Today we’re going to unleash a Chuck Norris round house kick on old SIDs stinking up the ACLs on our file servers”
[22:11:07] The ADWS is a WS-* interface so a properly created web service could interact with AD through it.
[22:27:07] I keep watch on Ned Pyle from the Directory Services blog
[22:31:11] I think the Summit will be awesome for the PS community. Â TechEd helps us to spread the love to people who have not started drinking the blue koolaid
[22:35:47] Article on the Navy NTP Issue: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2012/11/23/fixing-when-your-domain-traveled-back-in-time-the-great-system-time-rollback-to-the-year-2000.aspx
[22:40:05] I saw Ashley speak at PowerShell Sat 002 in Charlotte - Awesome Session!
22:42:10] they plan to release it for PS Summit
[22:42:10] May is the release I think
[22:42:29] PowerShell Deep Dives is in MEAP: http://manning.com/hicks/
