What is a Verified User?
Verified users have completed most of their profile (progress bar shows at least 75%). Specifically:
- They have provide a Display Name that reflects their legal name (e.g., "Don J," "Don Jones," or something similar)
- The Display Name may include a nickname, like Don Jones (concentratedDon) if they're well-known in the community by that nickname
- They have provided their given name and surname
- They have provided URLs to social profiles (Twitter, GitHub, etc) - usually 2+
- They have uploaded a profile photo that clearly shows their face
If you are interested in verifying your profile, we suggest editing it first to make sure it's complete. That will prevent a rejection, which lowers your site "score." Read more about our Verified Profile program.
